Beneficiaries
The funds raised by Taste! Central Florida℠ help Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida provide more than 232,000 nutritious meals each year to those in need.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida directs the funds raised from Taste! Central Florida to childhood hunger relief programs at their agency to assist the 1 in 6 kids who are facing hunger.
“For years Taste! Central Florida has been an incredible way to raise awareness and funds for one of the most critical issues in our community—childhood hunger. Thanks to the amazing support of our community, these funds have been able to make a huge impact on young shelter guests at the Coalition, who with their parents rely on us to provide them with healthy meals during their journey toward stable housing. On any given day, there are about 100 children staying in our Center for Women and Families. Your generous support of Taste! Central Florida ensures that these children wake up to a nutritious breakfast and end the day eating dinner with their families, never worrying when their next meal will be. Taste! Central Florida splits its net proceeds between two local organizations, Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Both are highly regarded non-profits by sites such as Guidestar and Charity Navigator. The funds are used for the organizations' feeding and hunger relief programs specifically targeting children.
